Skype Meetings are an effective way to meet and share content with your colleagues and peers through an audio or video session.
Joining a Skype meeting is easy and often requires just a click, select your device and check the detailed steps.

You have been invited to a Skype Meeting, the body of the invite will contain a link similar the following. Click on the link Join Skype Meeting.

Your device browser would automatically open the following web page. To use the audio and video you would need to install the Skype Meeting app Plugin. If you haven't installed the Plugin or not sure click Install and join with Skype Meeting App (web) .

To install the Plugin you should see a prompt displyed in your screen as below, click Run to install the Plugin.

You might receive a prompt asking you to confirm whether you want to join the meeting. Click Yes to join the Meeting.

Some Browsers upon the detecting the presence of the Skype Meeting App plugin automatically generate the following prompt for action. Click Open Skype Meeting App to join the meeting.

The Skype Meeting App will start, click Sign in as a guest to the meetiong.

Enter your name and click Join. Note: Your name will identify you among all the participants, some meetings have restricted access and therefore you might need to wait in the lobby until the host allows you into the meeting.

After a few moments the application will connect you to the meeting.

Your mic will be muted automatically when you join the meeting, to unmute yourself press the mic icon. Video is turned off by default, if you want to enable video press the camera icon. Instant Messaging is hidden by default, click the message icon to unhide the meeting conversation. The monitor icon will allow you to Present your screen if the host sets you as Presenter. The telephone icon allows you to define your audio device along with the audio volume. |
